Photos

Here are some photos of my works thus far. They are order from the oldest completed to the newest. Just click on a thumbnail to see the larger photos.

These first 2 painting (Hard Left Turn & Storm Clouds Gathering) were done to experiment with bold colors. Moreover, the process was much more fun than I anticipated; and so, as you can see, I continued painting. They were inspired by African clothing design.

The next painting (Goddess Takes Flight) has been an example of an experiment gone horribly wrong. As you see, I tried to modify it later, yet I’m still not satisfied. It continues to be a work in progress. Following that, I did a third to complete the first series. This one, which I haven’t titled was done on denim as yet another trial.

Then, I did two small study-samplers on paper. I’m rather pleased with them. It taught me a few things about technique and color. It led to more successful risk taking in the following series: the two smaller paintings Adrift and Simple Complexity and culminating in a design for a suitcase which incorporates my partner José’s personal logo and was a gift for him.

The next series completed in early 2010 is called Reign of Reins. It features four canvases (In the Beginning, Rebirth, Submit to Vision & Cognizance).
